You might get the following error when you scan your QR code using your iPhone.
“Unable to Activate eSIM”
This does not mean that the QR code is faulty in any way.
Your iPhone has successfully downloaded the eSIM service and is trying to connect to a network using the eSIM service to ‘Activate’ the eSIM. It is having problems connecting to a network.
To overcome this:
- Make sure that you have updated your phone to the latest IoS version ( 16.5.1 or later ).
- Then scan the QR code again making sure that you are in a place where you have both WiFi and you can get a GOOD mobile signal.
- The eSIM should then activate OK
- If after the above steps you get the error below then you need to request a new QR code from us by emailing support@esim.net
